A ação das poliaminas na maturação e senescência de frutos

Resumen

O objetivo desta revisão é elucidar de forma sucinta a ação das poliaminas durante a maturação e senescência dos frutos, tendo em vista que as poliaminas estão envolvidas em vários mecanismos fisiológicos sendo eles, crescimento da planta, floração, desenvolvimento e amadurecimento do fruto, senescência e resposta ao estresse. As poliaminas têm sido relacionados com processos de morte celular em muitos organismos e relacionados com fatores de juvenilidade. O envelhecimento e senescência de frutos está correlacionado com a diminuição dos níveis de poliaminas. Vale salientar que a aplicação exógena de poliaminas, muitas vezes atrasa ou impede a progressão da senescência dos frutos.
